Travel Tunes: February Playlist

Umm…you guys. March crept up on me like woah and now it’s March 7 and I just spent two hours creating a custom header for this thing. Where does the time go?

I most definitely owe you a February playlist, and I’m pretty proud of this one. Like…as proud as I am for almost stealing back the mayorship of my apartment gym from the girl who is clearly lying and checking in from her house, while I’m down there strutting my camel toe with the really buff chick that scares the bejeebus out of me. I deserve that mayorship, and you deserve this very belated playlist. It starts pretty mellow, so I suggest not listening to it on long late night drives. Or, you know, do what you want. You’re an adult. Favorites in bold.

  1. Silver Swans – Secrets
  2. Silje Nes – Ames Room
  3. Menomena – Weird
  4. NO – Another Life
  5. The Neighbourhood – Sweater Weather
  6. American Authors – Believer
  7. C2C – Down the Road
  8. Alexander – Truth (I forgot how much I loved this song until it played during the credits to the Oscar-nominated Live Action Short Curfew, which actually won this year.)
  9. Body Language – You Can
  10. Amon Tobin – The Killer’s Vanilla
  11. Rogue Wave – Stars and Stripes
  12. Ramona Falls – I Say Fever
  13. The Thermals – Only for You
  14. Damien Jurado – Sheets
  15. Thao & the Get Down Stay Down – Holly Roller (“I am a woman of leisure.”)
  16. Pacific Air – Float
  17. Robert DeLong – Global Concepts (i just love the beginning)
  18. Alabama Shakes – Hold On
  19. Eternal Summers – Millions
  20. The Most Serene Republic – Proposition 61 (I listened to this song daily for a while in my early 20s. I was a not a cheery person.)
  21. The Helio Sequence – October
  22. Rogue Wave – California (guess I was really feelin’ Rogue Wave this month.)
